ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a Electrical Engineer / Designer to join our Team!

The Electrical Engineer / Designer will be a professional, team-oriented, positive person that takes initiative, is dependable and takes pride their work.

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design of new projects, additions to and revisions of existing projects. Obligations include but are not limited to the development of job specifications, reports, design reviews, meeting with clients, working and coordinating with other team members to complete projects in a timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives that involve plans, specifications, etc.

  • Reviews his or her work for the application of sound professional judgment.

  • Responsible for the Electrical Design of assigned projects.

  • Prepares design calculations and organizes equipment or material specifications.

  • Must be familiar with the A/E design process and specifications leading to Construction Documents.

  • Interprets and complies with applicable codes and standards.

  • Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables in order to have the required information to design the projects.

  • Work on multiple projects, meet project budgets and schedules

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum +5 years of experience

  • Working knowledge of Florida, Electrical Building Codes (FBC), SREF, NEC, NFPA, ANSI and other building codes.

  • Strong knowledge of Electrical systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.

  • Conduct quality control on projects and check the work of others for accuracy and completeness.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360 and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Good oral and written communications skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, EIT and / or PE preferred.

  • Working towards licensure

  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
